Vodka sauce pastas rapidly spread during the 1980s. The New York Times panned Joanna’s penne and vodka sauce, although its often credited as an early iterations of the famous dish. Vodka sauce spread quickly through the tai-state area in the early 1980s.

Suggests 1/2 lb of penne.

Ingredients

3 tablespoons vodka
½ cup heavy cream
½ cup plum tomatoes
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika paste

Instructions

Heat oil
Add tomatoes
Coat with oil
Pour in 2 tablespoons vodka
Ignite vodka
Stir in paprika
Add remaining vodka, heavy cream, salt and pepper
Cook
